Picturing Your Alumni Engagement Strategy


This blog will be discussing Best Practices surrounding Alumni Engagement Strategy.

I received an inspiring email this week from Erica Yaeger.

Erica is the Assistant Dean of Development and Alumni Relations at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, The University of Texas at Dallas.

Erica sent me a copy of a picture of her institution’s alumni engagement strategy and she kindly agreed to allow me to share it with you.

I love so many things about this picture.  Where do I begin?

 

Firstly the concept of having a picture to explain your strategy.  Alumni relations leaders are often looking for ways to communicate their vision and strategy.  What an awesome way to get buy-in from colleagues.

 

Secondly I love the focus.  It shows the school has serious intent about interacting with their alumni and clear priorities.

 

Finally, and one a personal level, I love seeing our clients using their Graduway alumni platform to support all of those priorities, namely:

a) high quality and high impact programming,
b) consistent and meaningful communication and
c) alumni demographics and data collection

Thank you Erica for sharing this best practice and allowing me to share it with a wider audience.
