In the Alumni Relations World Nothing Can Be Certain Except for Death And Taxes

We use databases and artificial intelligence to try and model the future of fundraising and alumni relations. However, there is only one thing certain in alumni relations – death and taxes. With this in mind what role should alumni relations platforms play when it comes to the very end?

Fireside Chat: The Ryder Cup of Alumni Engagement
In the sport of golf, the Ryder Cup is a biennial competition between teams from Europe and the United States. The competition is contested every two years with the venue alternating between courses in the United States and Europe. It is competitive, emotional, and brings great pride to the winning team.

The venue for the – much friendlier – Alumni Engagement version of the Ryder Cup is GLS London and the British Museum!

Join us for a lively debate with thought leaders from top institutions who will join Graduway North American President Chris Marshall in an interesting (and fun!) forward looking session on the future of Alumni Engagement and who has the better model

Beckett Connect – Changing the Culture

One year on we look at the objectives, challenges, and milestones achieved so far, some tools that helped along the way, and what lies ahead for this coming year.

We all know what ROI is, but how do we measure ROE with our Alumni at Coca Cola Scholars?

You’ve heard of return on investment, but when it comes to your alumni, what is your return on engagement? This is fairly common to measure in higher education, but why is this important to know among your scholarship recipients?  What are some tools and best practices to build a culture of engagement among your alumni? How do you do that with limited resources? Find out how the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation is doing this as a national corporate scholarship provider and public charity.

Driving Alumni Relations, from Cradle to Grave, Simon Jones and Amy Weinberg

A Graduway platform is not a driverless vehicle. Although your Graduway passengers believe that they have total control, in reality there are alumni relations drivers in the advancement office that pull levers, push pedals and add more fuel. This breakout session gives practical tips to ensure that more Graduway passengers get on-board, stay strapped in and enjoy the ride. Most importantly the alumni relations drivers need to give themselves the best chance of winning the race for their institution!

Innovator or Imitator?,  Elisabeth Anderson

We need to be both. If you borrow other people’s ideas make sure they are the best and be courageous to be different and try something new. You do not have to reinvent the wheel every time you start something but sometimes take the road less travelled. You will be communicating with you current students for many decades, make sure that evolution and change are part of your present.

Segmentation in Alumni Relations: Who am I talking to and who is listening?, Barbara Baraga

The biggest challenge we face in alumni relations is the sheer number of target groups we’re addressing. It’s a huge audience.  We’re addressing everyone from baby boomers to generations X and Y, millennials and Gen Zs. And not only that. We’re also addressing university management and other decision makers, our co-workers, students and business partners. How to reach out to any of them, what tools to use, how to motivate them, how to know them better in order to interact with them more successfully?
